Benue Public Service Institute Collaborates With Digital Bridge Institute For Digital Skills Acquisition.

The Director General, Benue Public Service Institute, Makurdi, Professor Terkura Tarnande, said the Institute was in collaboration with Digital Bridge Institute Abuja and the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company to facilitate the training of pubic and civil servants in various areas to equip them with digital skills for efficient and effective administration.

Professor Tarnande, who spoke in his office on the current development at the Institute noted that the collaboration was to enable the Institute conveniently provide the public and civil servants with the required skills to enable them perform optimally in their various offices in line with the seven point agenda of the Governor Alia’s administration.

According to Professor Tarnande, the Institute has concluded plans to partner with the Benue State University to start Post Graduate Programmes at the Institute adding that the Institute would start running the short programmes for the acquisition of post graduate diploma certificates in Public Administration, Management, Accounting and Mass Communication in March this year while admission for the short programmes would begin late this month.

Professor Tarnande expressed the belief that the renovation work on the block expected house three hundred units of computers and the lecture room would be completed in the next two weeks adding that the general public could also use the opportunity to train themselves.

The Director General noted with confidence that the Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Iormem Alia is a man of high taste and they would stop at nothing to ensure that the Governor gets what he expects from the Institute.

Tarnande appealed to the Governor to support the Institute to carry out renovation work on the entire edifice as he explained that the renovation work they have started would not cover all the structures at the Institute.

The DG assured that the management team of the Institute was determined to succeed in their assignment at the Institute pointing out that they would not afford to derail in achieving the mandate.
